Missions
Using Bytanium, the resources used
most common in trade, you may conduct missions to search the shady underground
world of Cincomm-9 for blackmarket K-drone deals
or discover militiary information about an enemy's forces
size or location. Sometimes, missions may fail, returning no results
at all. You can always get an estimate of how much a mission
will cost by entering "0".
At the offset, you will only see two missions - Search Blackmarket for K-drones
and Army Layout (which, when succesfull gets you a complete layout
report of all three armies of a target base). By increasing your Espionage level through research,
you will find additional
missions become available as your Special Ops team gets more and more
advanced. Here are some of the missions you can unlock and levels required to do so:
- Espionage: Army Movements (level 3) Gives you a report on where each of the
target base armies are currently stationed.
- Espionage: K-drone Count (level 5) Gives you a report on exatcly how many of
each type of K-drone a target base has in its possession.
- Espionage: Base Layout(level 6) Similar to Army Layout mission, but tells
you what base land structure targets are at the opponent base. Does not inform you
of what space-based structures are orbiting Cincomm-9 under the control of the target base.
- Covert Ops: Bomb Mines (level 8) Very expensive and difficult mission, bomb
the mines of a target base dropping one of their mines down a level for each successful mission.
Tip:This can be very damaging if the target base has maxed out its current limit of Additional
Mine Shafts. If any base has more Additional Mine Shafts than its current Mine level permits,
the mine shafts will begin to collapse, destroying any K-drones that happen to be in them.
Advanced Missions
If you decide to pursue the Mechanical Engineering & Optics
branch of research, eventually a new link will appear on the Missions page which
leads to Advanced Missions, the point of operation of your new Special Units. These
units are capable of achieving certain levels of invisibility and may be sent to enemy
bases for extended missions undercover. For example, the Leech unit may be sent to an enemy
base to steal resources. Over a period of 50 weeks, the Leech will steal a small amount of
whatever resource you order it to each week.
The Advanced Missions fall into one of three catagories: Reporting (give a report on some aspect of the target base),
Stealing (taking something from the target base), or Sabatoging (destroying something at the target base).
You control giving the orders, sending units on missions, recalling them early when the situation looks
a little too tense if the target security is too high, etc. You also order the construction of
new Special Units from this page.
