General Units Info
The units in your armies can be used to defend your own section from attack, or to
attack other sections. A balanced army (using different types of units) will often
prove to be more successful in combat, as some units attack at greater speed, whilst
some units attack with far more strength, still others have thick, strong armor. Also, unless you chose your units carefully,
you may wind up with an army unable to target an entire class of enemy units (see below). Not good.
Targeting
Generally, units have weapons designed to hit a specific class of targets. Long range guns fire deep
into target bases at buildings, anti-air guns shoot aircraft, air-to-surface missiles hit surface targets, etc. You can find out what
target a unit hits by reading the description. With the exception of the S-units and the Supernova (which has only one target) all units
attack level 1 targets first, then level 2, and so on. There is no particular ordering of the units within the level. For example, let's
look at two vehicles, X and Y, that target mechs. They are facing an army consisting of Lynx's (lvl 1), Lightning's (lvl 1)and Rage's (lvl 2).
Vehicle X might attack the Lynx's first and Vehicle Y might attack the Lightning's first, but regardless of the attack order of the level one mechs,
both will attack the Rage's last, since it is level 2. An S-unit would attack the Rage first, followed by the Lynx, then the Lightning. That is the
order of those targets from strongest to weakest according to Graham's index (see S-units).
S-units
Occasionally a manufacturer will release a special model of a particular vehicle called an S-unit. The S-unit is a recent development on Cincomm-9 based on a strength rating formula that factors in armor and total weapon power. All units are ranked in a list in order of strength according to this formula. This list is known as the Graham index. The theory is, that by reprogramming targeting systems to attack targets from strongest to weakest according to their rank in the Graham index, armies will have more success on the battlefield. Some agree, some disagree, you'll have to buy a few S-units and see for yourself whether they're worth the extra commission to Graham and the extra programming time. S-units are denoted by an "(S)" at the front, for example, "(S)Viper-RO." Other than the attack order programming, S-units are the same as their normal unit counterparts.
Non-Military Units
K-drones
- Huge, very expensive and relatively old type of mining drone, designed to withstand high-pressure and high-heat environments. These drones are capable of going deep beneath the surface to locate and extract valuable ore. Because of the extreme environments they work in, they must also spend a lot of time above the surface cooling off. During this time, they are highly susceptible to theft, which happens more and more often these days.
Tarantula
- A large, special, eight-legged machine designed to climb on top of and attach to K-drones. These machines program the K-drones to search for particular type of metal, as instructed by the owner from the surface. Only one tarantula at a time can be attached to a K-drone. In recent times, tarantulas have been outfitted with military-like buzz-saw equipment used to detach and destroy tarantulas already attached to a K-drone.

Military Units
Military units can be classified in
a number of ways. First, they can be classified by manufacturer. Each
manufacturer has a unique style of construction and makes vehicles
with varying plusses and minuses (see Manufacturers). The manufacturer
of a unit is indicated by the two letters following the unit name.
Second, they can be classified by level. Level 1 vehicles can be purchased with resources mined and turned over to the manufacturer with little or no refining, grade C. Level 2 vehicles require resources that have been refined to grade B. Level 3 requires grade A. And though few manufactures make them, level 4 vehicles require pure, flawless resources. You'll need to invest in a lot of refining infrastructure to reach higher level vehicles.
Third, they can be classified by the type of vehicle they are, in other words, what role they play on the battlefield. This is how they are
classified below. Keep in mind that more precise information about the units can be discovered in the game through research.

- [Lvl 2] Carrying an array of powerful surface bombs, the DDT Bomber is just the ticket to take out strong enemy ground units. Will need good support though, as it is an easy target for air-to-air combat.
Requirements: Bytanium Advanced Refinery, Iron Advanced Refinery
Banshee-UG
| - [Lvl 2] Versatile and well armed, the Underground Banshee is equipped with multiple weapons systems capable of hitting a wide array of both air and surface targets, with a slight preference for surface targets. Requirements: Iron Advanced Refinery, C-62 Advanced Refinery
Devastator-WO
- [Lvl 3] When the enemy's defensive structures are starting to get too annoying and you're having a hard time getting your tanks and MLR's into position, turn to the Wolf Devastator. In terms of raw firepower, it is second only to the Flying Fortress out of all air units. Powerful smart bombs give the Devastator the ability to live up to its name, wrecking shop in enemy structure territory. Once all buildings have been leveled, the Devastator will focus on tanks and MLRW's.
Requirements: Bytanium Puritifcation Plant, C-62 Purification Plant
Flying Fortress-SU

From its high flying vantage point and with it's long range radar, it is capable of taking out land and air targets from great distances. With its incredible armor and weaponry, it's not cheap and takes quite a while to build, but it ranks among the most powerful vehicles on the market, if not number one, definitely in the top three. A fleet of these bad boys could end a battle before the enemy knew it started with a flurry of missiles from miles away. Complex targeting computers allow the SU-Flying Fortress to take aim its missiles at any enemy mobile unit. |
Requirements: ??? Removed from the market, but there must be some way to get it?
Helicopter Units
Duster-WO
- [Lvl 1] Sweep up ASU's and wear down mechs with this attack chopper. Short range rockets and a pair of chain guns ought to do the trick. The Duster is also equipped with a few special missiles for use in defensive strikes against Tarantulas.
Requirements: Opening Unit
Tomahawk-RO
- [Lvl 2] Something like the Rock version of the Duster, souped up with extra armor plating and additional air-to-ground weaponry. A little bit stronger offense-wise, a whole lot harder to take down defense-wise.
Requirements: Bytanium Refinery
Cyclone-DD
- [Lvl 3] Some vehicles are not to be taken lightly, the DDT Cyclone is one of those. This machine was created to destroy ASU's and tarantulas specifically, but it has a powerful enough arsenal to take out mechs and tanks as well. Much faster than the Duster or the Tomahawk, this attack helicopter can bring your enemy into a world of hurt.
Requirements: Bytanium Purification Plant, Iron Purification Plant
Armor Suit Units
Buster-FL
- [Lvl 1] Not very strong, but then again, that's not what Flash is known for. But when you get the report that 10,000 enemy units are 4 weeks away and you start sweating bullets, imagining at least 400 tarantulas are in the mix about to bring your mining operation to a screeching halt, take heart in knowing you can turn to Flash with the order for 1000 Busters and they'll be ready before the enemy is. Busters target one thing - tarantulas.
Requirements: Opening Unit
Hammerhead-RO
- [Lvl 2] Incredibly tough for an ASU, in fact, the toughest available on the market. The Rock Hammerhead basically has mech-caliber armor to make sure the enemy doesn't finish your ASU battalion off before it gets done what it needs to do, mess up those tarantulas.
Requirements: Bytanium Refinery
Wolverine-UG
- [Lvl 3] When the undisputed king of weaponry entered the ASU market, tarantula operators everywhere must have started having many sleepless nights. Equipped with the latest in ground combat, the Underground Wolverine is THE tarantula killer. This unit can be upgraded to allow it to hit tarantulas covered by Protectors.
Requirements: Iron Purification Plant, C-62 Purification Plant
Mobile Long-Range Weaponry(MLRW)
Hailstorm-AD
- [Lvl 2] Strike first and strike hard with the Advantage Hailstorm. The last thing that any ground unit wants to hear is the spy report "They've got Hailstorms." This giant weapon can only be described as a rapid fire gatling cannon, rotating huge barrels that fire explosive cannon ball shells in quick succession from long distances. All enemy ground forces can do is buckle down and pray they aren't the target when the skies fill with deadly, black, cannon balls of the Hailstorm.
Requirements: Advanced C-62 Refinery
Noventa Cannon-DD
- [Lvl 3] Put a HURTING on enemy buildings and tank battalions with this massive cannon. The DDT Noventa Cannon can fire from so far away that the enemy will be able to see the huge shell approaching and wonder what it is before they hear massive boom from the cannon, upon which they will be filled with the dismay that typically accompanies a realization of impending unavoidable doom. There will be rebuilding projects to undergo after facing an opponent that has a group of this terrible weapon.
Requirements: Bytanium Purification Plant, Iron Purification Plant
Mech Units
Lynx-UG
- [Lvl 1] Short range ground assault vehicle. Primarily engages ASU and other mechs before targeting tarantulas.

Requirements: Advanced Iron Refinery
Tornado-DD
- [Lvl 2] A powerful, versatile mech unit armed with anti-air weaponry and capable of shooting down helicopters and some planes. Primary targets are mechs.
Requirements: Advanced Bytanium Refinery, Advanced Iron Refinery
Gatekeeper-WO
- [Lvl 3] Two, huge long range cannons are mounted on the shoulders of this fearsome mech. The Wolf Gatekeeper has the range to hit those vehicles that try to stay on the outskirts of the battlefield, like AA units and MLRW. Primary targets are mechs and tanks.
Requirements: Bytanium Purification Plant, C-62 Purification Plant
Ultimate-SU
- [Lvl 4] With armor plating stronger than most tanks and a weapons arsenal that gives it firepower second only to the Flying Fortress, the Superior Ultimate is the premier ground attack unit. There's really not much else to say about it. Nothing on the ground is safe when Ultimates enter the battlefield. Even though it's designed for land combat, some skillful Ultimate controllers have been known to blow helicopters out of the sky with cannon blasts.
Requirements: ??? Removed from the market, but there may be some way to get it?
Tank Units
Reactor-DD
- [Lvl 1] Designed initially to support defensive structures by engaging other tanks, however its excessive armor slowed it down too much to reach enemy tanks fast enough. Still a solid addition to any ground assault force. Also engages mechs.
Requirements: Bytanuim Refinery, Iron Refinery
Demolisher-UG
- [Lvl 2] Three powerful cannons fire far into the horizon at enemy buildings. The Underground Demolisher is a long range wrecking ball. Also targets outskirts units, such as AA's and MLRW's.
Requirements: Advanced Iron Refinery, Advanced C-62 Refinery
Impass-AD
- [Lvl 2] The fastest tank on the market, the Advantage Impass will put a halt to an enemy ground advance. An excellent choice for getting the jump on enemy tanks and mechs. Also equipped with short range anti-aircraft weaponry.
Requirements: Advanced C-62 Refinery
Monstrosity-RO
- [Lvl 3] This gigantic vehicle is an awesome sight. The most heavily armored unit on the market, this unit is rated the most powerful vehicle by Graham's index. Roc is not known for its weapons though, and if you're looking for something to make quick kills, the Monstrosity isn't it. Roc was aiming too high in weapon diversity, including an anti-air weapon system and a miniature LRW for hitting enemy buildings along with standard ground weaponry. All this adds up to a giant, traveling piece of strong armor that can fire at any target, but only fire fairly weak shots.
Requirements: ??? Removed from the market, but there may be some way to get it?
Defensive Units
Protector-RO
- [Lvl 2] An excellent defensive unit by Roc, these hovering protective armor plates cover tarantulas. They also jettison tarantula decoys as they explode, giving the tarantula additional protection. Most units that target tarantulas will need to blast through Protectors first.
Requirements: Advanecd Bytanium refinery
Force Field Generator-SU
- [Lvl 3] The best protection you can get for your tarantulas. The Force Field Generator units create a supportive field network that covers battlefield tarantulas. The generators themselves, however, are vulnerable to attack.
Requirements: Bytanium Purification Plant, Iron Purification Plant, C-62 Purification Plant
