K-drones and the Mining Network

The arrival of the K-drones shifted the outlook of real estate prospects on Cincomm-9 180 degrees. The K-drones are a discontinued product from a by-gone mining era. Word on the streets is, someone brought a load of them to Cincomm-9 purely by chance and made an incredibly lucky discovery. Totally autonomous and equipped with powerful drills and an extremely complex navigation system, they work systematically to establish underground passages, extract ore and return to the surface.

Income      K-dones are the main source of income and the main reason for attack. Each tick, your K-drones produce a certain amount of resources, depending on a two factors:

  • Mine Level: The higher your mine level, the more each K-drone produces per tick. Each upgrade of your mine increases the amount each K-drone produces per tick by 8 resource.
  • Crowding Effect: The more K-drones you have in a mine, the less each one produces. In other words, crowding reduces mining effectiveness. However, this is factored in such a way that crowding can never cause you to earn less or a resource by having too many K-drones in a mine. Adding K-drones to a mine will always increase the amount you earn, just the amount of increase slows down as you add more and more.

So the formula for determining how much in total you'll get from your K-drones, say, your Iron K-drones for examlpe, is something like this:

Amount of Iron per tick = (Total Number of (I)K-drones) x (8 x Iron Mine Level)+(Crowding Factor x Total Number of (I)K-drones)
