END ROUND SUMMARY

In the first round of score count determining HOF entry instead of Reputation, the Terris Lien Strategists (TLS) lived up to their name. All eyes were on them to prove themselves the true leaders of the pack in terms of clan strategy, and they finished in undisputable terms.

Mid-round the leaderboard looked scattered, but slowly but surely, beginning with clan leader Elder strange, TLS members began moving up the ranks. High level congratulations are in order, for this was a brand new system and a good chance for other vet clans, such as the now defunct Crazy (see round 12 summary), to put a stop to the TLS reign.

Making its first entry in its birth round, C9C managed to place its founder and leader Cpt. ozzarkess in 6th place after the TLS members had their fill of HOF. An excellent achievement, but for other reasons C9C is making waves. A 30+ member clan, C9C built a foundation upon recruiting the Cadets and newbie players promising protection and support. While there was speculation that this would be a big target for some of the more experienced and tight-knit clans. But based on Chaos Round activity and the astronomical number of in-game mails that C9C sends among its members, it seems to be forming a well knit community of its own.

And speaking of high activity and birth round HOF entry, clan Apex did an incredible job, placing 4 of its members in the HOF - tying the number of TLS entries for the round. Led by Cpt. nastydog and Maj. smidsy, clan Apex showed maximum activity during the end round and Chaos Round.

LOOKING TO ROUND 14, OBSERVATIONS AND PREDICTIONS

Having fulfilled all goals and being the first to earn the red star of 10 HOF entries, Elder strange has publicly announced he will not be going for an HOF entry in round 14. Whether he will stick to playing a sideline role or not we will soon see, but equally important, there has been no such statement of resignation by any other TLS member. Elder Jweet, Elder Wraith and now Elder Kevlar and Gen. NeroC as well are all major players with a total of 18 HOF stars among them. Bgd. Gen. LonerLobo also is well on his way to building a high caliber reputation as well. Look for at least 1 TLS to place HOF, possibly 2, depending on how hard the clan decides to press.

After such a strong finish last round, clan Apex is obviously aiming to do well. Based on the login charts, high mail volumes and high clan posts coutns, almost the entire clan is extremely active. Apex also jumped off to a quick start, placing 3 members in the top 10 soon after the start of Round 14. This will be one of the clans to watch, and is clearly looking to the top. Look to see 1-2 of these make HOF.

Also placing 3 in the top early in Round 14 is the behemoth clan C9C. The signs of the depth of having a 30 member clan are showing though, when one looks at those ranked 11-20 there are another 3 C9C members. Second in overall activity only to Apex, and now having survived an entire round without losing large numbers, this clan is developing well. Various game feature additions such as privleged clan posts and incoming attack summaries may play a role helping C9C maintain order and support of its large number where past 30+ clans had difficulties. C9C has a huge pool of players, but many are still young in battle years. Look for 2-3 of these to place in HOF.

AOF, DOF, and ADVOC have all combined to form a new clan, the Advocates of Fury. I am told that this is the brainchild largely of Calledor's efforts. Each of these clans were skilled as small clans, if they can come together and work together effectively they will be another force to be reckoned with. As this is their first round and the world is growing fiercly competitive, placing at least 1 would be a good start.

FOM has taken back in some of its old leaders and power players, such as founders Turnip and Hedgehog, and front line attacker GeneralHellfire. FOM has maintained a presence near the top, but last round only had one player finish in the top 20 and none made HOF. FOM got off to a great start in its inception, but faltered a bit after losing a number of top players temporarily to the justinsane project Crazy and the startup Avengers by GeneralHellfire. With all of its prodigals back home, can the clan get back on track and pick up the pace where it left off? For a clan with a couple of HOF stars and several good players, at least 1 HOF finish should be a doable goal.

The remaining HOF spots could be wildcard. Old hands METRO and CHAOS could or could not decide to make a push. New clans RONIN and Adama could also snatch a spot. It is getting a bit crowded at the top in terms of the talent pool, with the number of good players increasing every round.
