NEXT ROUND PREDICTIONS

Woodall has done it again, now having left Chaos he has restarted his original clan FATE. Taking a few of his Chaos comrades with him and drawing in several other high profile players, including veterans Gen. Mightymateo and Gen. SuburbianJ, Woodall and FATE appear to be off to a great start.

Of course the now premier clan Apex is off to an equally good start. Their foremost member Maj. Gen. Cvelle has quickly taken the lead at the top spot. If he can hold that position till the end, he will do what has never been done before in the history of Cincomm-9: back-to-back no. 1 finishes.

I predict the war between FATE and Apex is inevitable (don't you love it? lol). At least that prediction will come true, as there is no way Apex will make the mistake of NAP'ing with a potential rival during the end game again. As to who will win that war... tough call. I see on one side, Mighty, Sub, Woodall, on the other Cvelle, Smidsy, Stu. Nastydog left Apex but you can bet that is only form, not function. Apex blood runs through his veins like no one else. The top people in each side square off evenly, consider the support. On Apex, Balance, MrBrown, Loulou, vs. the FATE support of Chidar_K, Koakes, Rayguy, and Huevudo. Support leans towards FATE. Both sides also have assorted new players, and Apex has a proven system of taking in 3-4 new players per round and making them seriously formidable (ex., Loulou). Already one of their new guys as in the top 10, new players lean towards Apex.

It's too close to call, it will depend a lot on outside factors. What will the other two major clans, C9C and Chaos, do? What about the minor clans, S.O.F. (lots of vets, but not very active), ANBU (some good talent there, but not maximizing potential yet), Wolf (large clan and some talent, not working well together yet), and IMP (oh how the mighty have fallen)? And two clans that have been sporadic for a few rounds now must be mentioned, TLS and METRO. Occasionally I think either of these clans is going to make a move, but you never know with either of them. They appear suddenly, do damage and then go inactive again. I doubt either of these ancient ones will go for HOF's, but their members stay somewhat active, so who knows what they're doing or how they will effect the round? Both clans are almost entirely elder now - and they act like it too, their warrior days long gone but like old kung-fu masters can still put a beat down on young upstarts if they feel like it.

With this good mix of characters and clans, I'm looking forward to see the results. One last thing must be said. This round has seen more additions/changes than perhaps any of the last 6 rounds. You can now build outposts, the map of Cincomm-9 has been created with mineral rich areas, there are repair facilities and three new special attacks. These changes could make it a whole new ballgame. It's hard to say which playing style (attacker/miner) and which clan size (small/med/large) will benefit the most. Who will discover the best ways to maximize and adapt? Ok, I'll watch closely and explain eveything that happens in the next summary ;)
