END-ROUND SUMMARY (CONT.)
Noteworthy events:
Among the most noteworthy events of this round is what I will call the clan implosion.
For the first time, the clan board page only listed clans that have 4 or more members.
This dropped the listing from 20-something to about 8 or nine quickly. Of those, most of the clans
that had yet to achieve a HOF or were semi-active all disbanded, leaving only 4 active
clans shown on the board. This implosion has brought a stark reality to light as
to where the active and talented players are located. It also marked the beginning
of several thoughts on how to address it, but there was only small buzz about it.
We would see later in round 18 the buzz growing louder.
Also for the first time ever, a player achieved back-to-back number 1 finishes. Gen. Cvelle
has put his name in the record books along with the likes of strange (most HOFs) and Wraith (most consecutive HOFs).
Add to that now a new record, Cvelle, most consecutive no. 1 finishes. Congrats Cvelle!
Congrats are also in order for the Apex co-founders, Gen. Smidsy and Gen. nastydog, for
today they join the ranks of an elite and distinguished group of players (I believe only 6, now 8) that have earned the Green Star
for their fifth HOF appearance. Well done to both of you.
