MID ROUND SUMMARY

Yet again, a former super power disperses! This time leader strange of last round's top clan Aegis felt he needed more challenge in his life and disbanded Aegis, the largest and strongest clan from last round, to start a lone wolf clan. Several top Aegis members rode solo for a time, but eventually the former-Aegis HOF members started or settled down into different clans. At least 2 new high powered clans emerged from the Aegis break up: the resurrection of DOM lead by Mystic who was soon joined by the 2-star player and current round leader Cpt. Rossco, and Higher Calling (HC) lead by strange who was soon joined by 2-star player and former RBL leader Iceflame.

The second largest clan of the round, TRAKER, also disbanded. From that split emerged the clan of Pocumtuck, which is making some waves currently placing 2 members in the top 15 with clan leader Aaron maintaining a solid second place behind Cpt. Rossco.

At this point, halfway through the round, for once it's impossible to tell which, if any, clan will emerge as the clan. Each of the top four Section Leaders are from different clans, and no clan has a majority of the current top 10 (HC-3, METRO-3, DOM-3, POCU-1).

The huge increase in clan enrollment has pushed the number of clans up to 17, and a few of these new clans are climbing fast. Among the more promising are the Legion of Chaos, led by NeilMchenry, and the revived veteran clan House Marik - FWLM, led by 3-star power player Nehrul. FWLM is supported by experienced Leaders Kerbango and Lance, who also has a couple stars after his name. Chaos does not boast any star members yet, but that may change after this round as its top player Cedric, who finished at 18th in round 4, is sitting on the brink of HOF entry in 11th place right now.

And last but not least, the only surviving clan from the first wars of Cincomm-9, METRO. Led by the 2-star vet Megatron and showing a surpising increase in numbers this round, METRO has "never failed to place a member in the HOF every round" since clans existed and it doesn't look like that streak will end in Round 5.

I wish I could comment more about the wars going on between clans, but the clans are keeping info locked tight in their coffers! Though the clan/area forums are filled with a staggering 1218 posts so far, all we hear in the game-wide board is one-line boast or trash talk to every other day or so!

END ROUND SUMMARY

Another round comes to a close. This round saw the introduction of the Scepter Dome Arena, a place where Section Leaders can test their skills against each other one-on-one regardless of their rank and status in the game. It has been running well for a while now, soon we should expect to see tournaments, prizes and the like.

HC rose to power and remained there, defeating their enemy METRO and placing more members in the HOF, knocing out one of METRO's members. But METRO held to it's clan statement, placing 2 of its members in the HOF to keep the streak going.

DOM disbanded, though two of its former members remained powerful and dominant, with Cpt. Rossco planting his flag at the top and refusing to let anyone even THINK about touching it.

POCU leader aaron took a hard fall, but POCU still managed to get a member into the top 10, giving warper his first star. Congrats, warper! All the others this round were repeat offenders.
