MID-ROUND SUMMARY

So far my predictions for Round 14 are on track to be upset. I thought there would be a spread of clans in the top 20, with several clans have 1-3 members apiece in the top 10. But what it looks like now is Apex, Apex, Apex, Apex. Currenty, 9 of the top 20 slots are claimed by Apex, which, by the way, is an 11 member clan. Most impressive. The clan leader Nastydog has made it known that the goal of Apex is to become the new TLS, and indeed to surpass TLS in numbers of HOF entries.

It would take a long time to do that, but with clan about twice the size of TLS, it is possible for more Apex members to have a shot at HOF. Right now, Apex is dominating the round, occupying the top 4 spots and 6 out of the top 10. The Apex threat is the glaring problem of the mid-to-end round. Is it a coeincendence then, that a few elders and high rank players that seemingly weren't playing have suddenly gotten active? strange started the round of mildly and had announced he was not going for a HOF this round, and Megatron hasn't been active in quite a few rounds, but both are fairly active now. Elder justinsane and Bgd. Gen. woodall also seemed to start of benign but have increased in activity and are making effective moves. One has to wonder whether the Apex threat has something to do with these returns.

The remaining 4 slots in the top 10 belong to FOM and Ronin. Both clans remain in constant war, indeed the number of attacks this round overall is record breaking and the battle for the 6 positions under the Apex top 4 is very fierce. Rounding out the clans in the top, Chaos, C9C and METRO each claim a top 20 spot.

Also noteworthy, Maj. Gen. Yan, who has been FOM for as long as I can remember, has moved to ADVOC. This brings the high rank members of ADVOC up to 5. Out of the top 20 spots, ADOVC holds three. This is, I think, the first round for ADVOC as a newly united unit (joining ADVOC, DOF, and AOF together) and there is a lot of talent in this group. They still have a shot at HOF this round, but more interestingly, as they are learning to work together their performance next round will be something to watch.

Mid-Round Top 20:
Apex - 9
Ronin - 3
ADVOC - 3
FOM - 2
C9C - 1
METRO - 1
Chaos - 1

END-ROUND SUMMARY

Apex surged ahead in the end round, supported by a large, well-built and well-protected mining infrastructure and began moving more and more of its members up the leaderboard. Only FOM managed to weather the Apex storm, as Apex added a record 8 HOF stars to their clan count. There was a lot of inter-clan movement this round as well. Both woodall and justinsane joined Apex. Yanmustwin, a longtime FOM member left to join Advocates. A number of FOM have left, actually, the clan is much smaller than its glory days, which is surprising considering the success of its two leaders.
